Barefoot Beach

Located off of Bonita Beach road, you can experience a fantastic beach as well as 300 acres of preserve untouched by man. This is a huge destination for nature lovers. Only $8.00 entry fee and unlimited sun, palm trees, natural land, shells, coral, and abundant wildlife.
 

Bonita Springs Public Beach

From clean bathrooms to ample parking, this public beach is one of a kind. This beach also isn’t overly crowded compared to many southern beaches. Parking is merely $2 an hour, so you can spend the whole day at the beach for only a few dollars! Keep an eye out for pelicans, dolphins, and a wide variety of Florida birds!
 

Everglades Wonder Garden

A tremendous history museum, with magnificent gardens, and unique wildlife galore. Roam the inner walls of the Everglades Wonder Garden where you can observe and feed rescued birds, flamingos, alligators, and other reptiles, and look at jungle-like plants and beautiful tropical flowers. You might even notice that peacocks are casually walking around, just like you.
 

Lover’s Key State Park

If you enjoy a mixture of beaches, nature trails, and wildlife, you are bound to enjoy Lover’s Key. You can rent kayaks or canoes and observe manatees in the water. You can also choose to relax by the calm waves of the ocean on the beach. The 1,616 acres are comprised of 4 barrier islands. You can walk or bike on the trails. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, eagles, and other varying Florida birds!
 

Bonita Nature Place

For those who enjoy nature, the Bonita Nature Place is a great opportunity to learn, volunteer, and experience outdoor activities you can do with friends and family of all ages.
 

Riverside Park

Nestled on the Imperial River, the park is most known for its festivals, art shows, and various celebrations. With clean bathrooms and picnic tables, this is a great spot for relaxation or attending fun events.
 

Congo River Golf

This is a family-friendly putt-putt course with an abundance of waterfalls, caves, and jungle scenery that will make you feel like you are on vacation. This is a popular spot, so attending during opening hours, or during the week will likely be your best experience!
 

Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge

This refuge is Florida’s largest preserved land that protects the well-known Florida panther. They are often tough to spot and typically emerge at night, so don’t fear, seeing one isn’t likely. However, you can learn all about them and roam the fantastic trails which are great for observing various other wildlife. A nature lover’s dream!
 

Farmer Mike’s U Pick

A fantastic destination for homegrown fruits and vegetables. You can book group field trips and get hands-on or hold other special events, like weddings, at this location. If you happen to be in town during October, you must attend Farmer Mike’s U Pick Haunted Corn Maze! This event never disappoints but is best for families with children ages 12 and up!
